Chamber President's Message
by Darleen Curley
The Chamber’s fiscal year is coming to a
close. A year that has seen some growth within the Chamber, we
welcome the new members and wish them new avenues of success!
This also brings new networking opportunities to our current
members.
The resiliency of our members is an inspiration to us all. What
I see when I visit with our members is a strong determination
and dedication to their businesses and this community.
We face a new fiscal year with hope for a further upturn in the
economy and energy to continue our efforts. Your Chamber of
Commerce is committed to doing its part in providing each of you
opportunities to network your business.
On the legislative front we are still fighting to keep the
Redevelopment Agencies, please keep in touch with your
legislative representatives, the opposition has begun a new
campaign to push for elimination of the RDAs. We need to keep up
the pressure!
Thank you to all of you who braved the weather and attended the
Police Recognition event. Since we have had weather issues the
past two years, Chief Jones and I have agreed that we are going
to move to an inside venue next year!
