Chamber President's Message
by Darlene Curley
Summer is here! The Chamber begins a new fiscal
year with prospects looking positive. With an increase in new
members and with what appears to be an end to the deductions in
membership, the prospects are indeed improving. We welcome the new
members; they are joining a fine group of hardworking, dedicated
individuals that are the backbone of this chamber. The new members
are bringing a new eye, good ideas and energy; we welcome this surge
and know that it will bring with it a growth that will help the
chamber to continue to succeed.
We are looking to add some new items to the chamber’s agenda. A
request has been made that some marketing tips be made available for
those members who are just starting out or may be looking for new
ways to market their businesses. So beginning in July I have made
some time available on the second Friday of each month for about an
hour for any member who would like to sit down and talk about
marketing. Since the office is normally closed on Fridays, I am
making it by appointment only. I look forward to meeting with those
of you who would like to discuss marketing techniques.
Our 21st annual golf tournament is scheduled for August 18th at
Sierra Lakes Golf Course. We are already getting foursome
reservations. Polish those golf clubs, we are going to have some
super prizes, stay tuned for more information!
