The Chairperson’s Message

Transitions
With the close of the Chamber’s fiscal year
I will close out my second term as the Board Chair for the Board
of Directors. It has been exciting and full of challenges. I
want to thank all of our members who have provided support and
to the Board for their dedication and commitment to the Chamber.
I will remain on the Board and serve as Past Chair and of course
I will continue to be active within the Chamber.
The economy is slowly trending upward, we have many challenges
and opportunities ahead of us. Belonging to the Chamber is a
great way to help to bring further success to our businesses.
I will be turning the gavel over to Chris Carpenter on July 1st
as he accepts the role of Board Chair. I know that you all will
give him the same support and dedication you have always
provided. The coming year will bring new opportunities to
network and expand your business horizons. I have one word for
you “participate”! And when you do you will see a difference in
your business.
I hope to see each of you at the Board Installation ceremony on
June 22 at John’s Incredible Pizza.

I believe that anybody that works hard and stays focused in
running their business, offering quality products and quality
service especially those who network with their business
relationships will come out ahead of the game.
At the Montclair Chamber of Commerce we continue to work for
you, providing our members with opportunities to promote their
business and putting together Forums to keep you informed of New
Laws that affect your business.
On a personal level I would like to share with you that I have
gone through a FEW economic challenging years from The Persian
Gulf War to The crash of the Housing Industry and I have
survived thanks to my involvement and all the business
connections that I have made through the Montclair Chamber of
Commerce, and I believe you are not different from me, being
involved can help you too.
We are ready to face another challenging year.
