AMBASSADORS
Montclair Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and their Mission Ambassadors of the Montclair Chamber of Commerce are part of a prestigious group that act as the welcoming arm of the Chamber and are the force behind our special events, ribbon cuttings, grand openings and networking socials.
Ambassadors serve as a liaison between the Chamber and its members. They keep in touch with current members and motivate new ones. This contact helps increase both membership retention and member involvement. Ambassadors are always on the look out for member prospects.
Ambassadors provide a source of information on Chamber programs, products and services.
Ambassador of the Month
Malinda Dinoff - US Bank Sue Steadman, Ambassador
ChairWasn’t it Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz who said, “People come and go so quickly around here”? In these interesting times in which we find ourselves, it seems that way with our Ambassador Team. People come and go, but we always have a strong group and a great team that supports each other and the chamber. At the last meeting we lost Kitty but welcomed a few new faces Leo Marucco from Best Buy attended his first meeting and brings a lot of enthusiasm to the group. Tenice Johnsonis a Montclair Planning Commissioner who just retired and wants to spend some of her free time helping the Chamber. We appreciate that and welcome her. Now we have the Johnson “triplets” with Barbara, Tenice and Kelly. Lori from Montclair High attended her second meeting and seems well on her way to official Ambassadorship. She reported that the “Peppermints for Performance” program was a big success and that test scores did indeed go up again. Sylvia Garza stopped by as a guest with Ambassador Debbi, and it’s always nice to see her. Rana reported that her fifth year anniversary open house was great. She was very happy with all the well-wishers who stopped by. And Amanda reported that PVW had a very successful casino night and raised about $13,000 for their autism program.
