About The Montclair Chamber of
Commerce
Since 1958
KEEPING BUSINESS ON THE RIGHT TRACK
The Montclair Chamber of Commerce dedicates itself to providing leadership,
organization and resources in support of a healthy business climate; uniting
business and community to improve the quality of life in Montclair.
The Montclair Chamber of Commerce was incorporated on November 21, 1958 and
opened its doors for the first time on January 2, 1959. The Chamber started
with a membership of 80 and continues to grow at a steady pace. Membership
of the Chamber of Commerce is composed of business and professional firms
and individuals from the area, who are interested in the orderly growth of
the City of Montclair as well as promoting their business through contacts
and referrals.
The fulfillment of the Chamber’s work has been carried out by “community
minded” individuals and firms, giving freely of their time and effort in the
interest of achieving, for Montclair, a position of prestige among
California cities.
The strength of a Chamber of Commerce lies in attracting the greater number
of individuals and firms into membership, thus creating a strong and united
business voice.
Through committees, the Montclair Chamber of Commerce is able to concentrate
its efforts and focus on areas of concern and importance for the business
community.
